The natural light has always fascinated me, and to capture that light on the canvas is my major inspiration and challenge!
I have painted light that is reflected in a porcelain coffee cup, the light in the New Zealand alps, the generous and warm light on the Mediterranean coast and the cold but hopeful light on a winter day in Sweden.
I work indoors and outdoors, by observing objects and the color of light and shadows. From my experience of the atmosphere, and often from many photos taken to support my memory, I create my artwork. Painiting light is for me a symbol language for an ecological way of thinking.
I am influenced by artists such as Danish painter Anna Anker, Swedish Hanna Pauli, Claude Monet and Edward Hopper. For the time being I work entirely in acrylic on canvas.
Please, have a look in my galleries! The current paintings have motifs primarily from Norway, Capri, the Caribbean, Denmark, Sweden and New Zealand.
